Make a Difference for Aging LGBT Individuals Today

GLARP is a nonprofit organization that was formed in 1996 by co-founders Mary Thorndal and Veronica St. Claire. We were established to call attention to the issues facing aging in the LGBT community, acting as true pioneers in the field. Positive feedback came pouring in behind our initial housing survey, and we have experienced great success as we went on to plan senior housing developments designed just for the LGBT community.

We were quick to pursue housing opportunities in the Palm Springs, California, region, an area already popular among retirees. With the support of both the local government and community, we sought to establish senior housing that would remain in the community as a permanent benefit. Our fiscally responsible professionals aim to employ low-cost bond financing for our construction process, furthering the financial benefits of our projects.

Our Team

We have formed a tight development team that is more than ready to proceed with the development of resort retirement communities. GLARP's LGBT-oriented team is made up of lawyers, financial and marketing professionals, and other experienced individuals. Our real estate agents and other experts are actively forming a marketing study and preliminary feasibility study to ensure the success of our communities.
